“ Stopped by CORD on Fleet Street for a weekday lunch and honestly didn’t expect it to be this busy — or this good. I always assumed people around here would just grab a quick sandwich, but the dining room was full of City workers actually taking their time and enjoying a proper meal. The space is beautifully designed. You walk in through a casual café area, then further inside it opens up into a calm, elegant dining room. The open kitchen is a great touch — you can see everything happening, which makes the whole experience feel very transparent and relaxed. Food-wise, everything we ordered was spot on. The A5 Wagyu and bluefin tuna starters were delicate and full of flavour. For mains, the BBQ monkfish was perfectly cooked and the Highland venison en croûte was rich and comforting without being heavy. The peanut soufflé to finish was light, warm and absolutely worth the wait. It’s rare to find a restaurant of this level right in the middle of the City. “ We spent a beautiful evening at Cord — truly worthy of its Le Cordon Bleu reputation. The food was delicious and exquisitely presented, and every dish had remarkable depth and layers of flavour. The complimentary amuse-bouche was beautifully crafted. For mains, we ordered the Cornish halibut and the venison, and one of the mango desserts was an especially delightful surprise. ”

“ It is the second time we visited CORD . Outstanding quality food and service on both occasions . From the moment we enter the restaurant until the last petit four served to us -Exquisite experience. We started with some very tasty canapés by the Chefs . For starters we had the Blue Fin Tuna with ocietra caviar ,Anjou pigeon ,Scottish langoustine and the Wagyu beef Carpaccio. For main we went for their signatures the Monkfish and the Venison we also tried the Cep pasta dish .All perfectly cooked bursting with flavours. The desserts were league by itself. Very professional,attentive but service .They made us feel very comfortable. Arguably the most underrated restaurant in the city at the moment ,how is this not at least 1 Michelin star ?Food for thoughts for the notorious guide. ”
